There are probably hundreds of different PC configurations that people use with this tuner card. I built a machine of reason. It is a P4 3.4 GHz, 2GB RAM, 500 GB WD Caviar Blue 7200rpm hard drive, an ATI Radeon X300 graphics card and Windows 7 Ultimate. This tuner cards need a good hardware and software platform for well.br / br / My hardware is probably only suitable employment. 99% of the time video is smooth as silk, sometimes a bit 'bumpy. But Windows 7 seems to do everythingincredibly simple. So I just installed the tuner connected to my car antenna and then into a USB 2.0 port. Windows has found all the drivers. I use Windows Media Center so you do not install the software on CD. However, I ran looking for IR32 folder on the CD and run IR32.EXE driver for remote control (which does not work after installation). I followed the instructions on the Hauppauge site to Windows Media Center. Once that happen it was easy, wasWatch / record TV with HVR 950Q.br is / br / great quality television. The channels are changing rapidly. The remote has a print Skip forward 30 seconds (and skip down 5 seconds, if the excess spots), which works immediately. The remote is a bit 'small, but it works quite well (you might store in your laptop PC Card slot). Br / br / So for my configuration, this product was great.br br / /
